Auto GP annonuces 2014 Prize Money

The 2013 Auto GP season has just been completed, and while Vittorio Ghirelli managed to take the title and succeed to Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, Enzo Coloni and his organization are ready for an even brighter future. As preparations for the upcoming Jerez test, set for October 28th and 29th at Jerez, the series announced its Prize Money scheme for 2014. As previously announced, the top-three points scorers of each weekend will be rewarded with Prize Money. The best one will receive from Auto GP Organization s.r.l. 20.000€ while the second will get 10.000€ and the third 5.000€. The toll will comprise the points scored in Race 1 and Race 2 and, in case of ties, the total amount will be split in half. Auto GP is back among the few racing championship rewarding their drivers for the efforts made throughout the season.

Enzo Coloni: "We are proud to announce the return of Prize Money for the 2014 season. It will add more interest for the Teams and Drivers competing in the championship. Now we are fully-focused for the upcoming test at Jerez, where there will be a lot of work for our engine and tire supplier Zytek and Kumho. We will be there for the first time so we need to be ready under every aspect. The goal for us will be to enable drivers to try a tough and powerful car at a reduced cost".
