The structure for the 2014 R.A.C. Rally Championship, which is unveiled today (Monday 14 October), has been confirmed.Once again, the core of the championship will be the existing historic Categories One, Two and Three, covering cars produced up to the end of 1981. New for 2014 will be the full introduction of Category Four for cars produced up to the end of 1985. In addition, a separate Category K will be home to pre ’86 cars complying to FIA Appendix K regulations.Running in parallel to the historic cars will be Category O, for all two-wheel drive ‘open class’ cars originally built before the end of 1987. Details of the 2014 championship are subject to MSA approval.
