Edgar's Hyundai MSA British Cadet Kart Championship

Round 6: Shenington, 12-13 October 2013

Oliver York sealed the championship title with a win and a second place in the season-closer at Shenington.

Tom Wood helped York to break away in the first final, while his title rival Alex Quinn had Teddy Wilson’s assistance in moving clear of the chasing pack, headed by Alex McDade. They all closed up on the last lap, with York staying ahead and Wilson forging into second as Wood fell to third.

For the second final York and Wilson paired off ahead of Quinn and Wood, with the gap opening to four seconds. Wilson managed a pass on the last lap but York said: “I didn’t really mind being second so long as I won the championship.” It was York’s second MSA title in two weeks, having already claimed the MSA National Comer Cadet Kart Championship.
