ROUND 9: UTS CHEVIOT KEITH KNOX STAGES RALLY (20th October)Damian Cole won the UTS Cheviot Keith Knox Stages, the final round of the REIS Get Connected MSA Asphalt Rally Championship, on his way to claiming a record-breaking fourth consecutive title.On a day when many of his rivals failed to finish the Otterburn Ranges-based event, Cole and co-driver Elliott Edmondson brought their Ford Focus WRC home twenty seconds in front of the Skoda Fabia WRC of John Stone. For his part, Stone finished on identical penalties to Simon Mauger/Brian Cammack but took runner-up spot from the Escort MkII crew by setting a faster time on the opening stage of the day.However, 3rd overall was enough to give Cammack the MSA Asphalt Champion Co-drivers’ title, beating long-time leader Patrick Walsh by just one point.
