Dan Clark struggled with tyres in the early stages but they came on towards the end and he set fastest lap on the final tour to claim third place. In race 2 Clark led from the opening lap chased by Platt. At half distance Clark’s lead was 2.5s, but Platt had no restrictions now that the title was won. With Clark suffering with worn out tyres, Platt closed the gap to 0.277s at the flag. Sam Moss had been on pole position for race 1 but a wrong tyre choice dropped him back. He made amends in race 2 by finishing third.
