Riccardo Agostini confident after Formula Renault 3.5 collective test

THE ITALIAN DROVE FOR FORTEC MOTORSPORT AND ZETA CORSE COMPLETING 121 LAPSRiccardo Agostini hit the track at Barcelona for the Formula Renault 3.5 collective test, he regained confidence with the car he raced with last July in Spielberg, with a view to the 2014 season.

On October 22nd, Agostini tested with the British team Fortec Motorsport and set his best lap of 1'31 .093 at the end of the first session, completing a total of 64 laps. The F3 2012 Italian champion didn’t make any mistake but steadily improved: in the morning the gap between the new tires and the used ones was about of two tenths, in the afternoon rose to seven-tenths, which meants a significant progression in the performance.

Agostini completed 57 laps on Wednesday, with the Zeta Racing car (the same team he raced with this year in the World Series by Renault weekend in Austria). The rain in the morning and especially the red flags weaving continuously during the afternoon session, prevented the Italian to take advantage of the new tires, wasting an entire set when another car spun in front of him.Nevertheless, he managed to eventually obtain the considerable response of 1'31.981. But, most important, Agostini has reached his goal of regaining familiarity with the car, working on the set-up and so starting a job focused on the commitment of the next season.
