GREAT Britain captain Chris Harris is to return to parent club Coventry next year – and the Bees have also snapped up Kenneth Hansen in an early start to team planning.Harris spent 2013 with Elite League play-off Finalists Birmingham but is now set for a Testimonial at Brandon, whilst Danish rider Hansen will join on loan from Wolverhampton after impressive late-season appearances in the UK. Coventry promoter Mick Horton said: “It’s Chris’s Testimonial year, which will be a huge meeting for him, and it’s great that he wanted to come back. He’s been riding well lately and I’m hoping he’ll take that on and have a good season in 2014.“I’d like to thank (Wolves promoter) Chris Van Straaten for permission to speak to Kenneth, the deal was completed on Saturday and we’re delighted to have him. He was very impressive in the Brandonapolis, and at Leicester, and he’s going to be a great addition.”(SPEEDWAY 2)
SOMERSET manager Garry May is refusing to take anything for granted as the Rebels chase their first title in Monday’s Premier League decider against Edinburgh.May’s team went down by just two points in the first leg at Armadale as they look to improve on their runners-up finishes in 2008 and 2012 – when they lost by a single race point to Scunthorpe in the Final.May said: “We may only be two points behind, but those points still have to be won, and Edinburgh will be going all out to defend that lead, so nothing can be taken for granted.“So what we really need is for all the Rebels fans to get down to the Oaktree Arena on Monday night and for one last time this year to get right behind the boys as they look to write another chapter in the history of the club.”(FIXTURES)
