Facu Regalia, the Argentine driver whose motorsport career is managed by fomer Formula 1 driver Adrian Campos, competes at Yas Marina Circuit (Abu Dhabi) in the season finale for GP3 series and led by Regalia after fourteen races. The ART Grand Prix driver has 138 points, seven ahead of his main rival, Daniil Kvyat, with two races left and being maybe the most important races for Regalia so far. Regalia visited ART Grand Prix headquarters last week to prepare the meeting in the team´s simulator and arrived to Abu Dabi on Sunday, just to get used to the local weather.
“I´ve already spent some days here, improving my acclimatization to hot weather and time zone, a bit different from those used in Argentina and Europe. I´ve completed some laps at Yas Marina Circuit while practising jogging. It was quite useful to learn the track and I took some references to know where it´s possible to drive on and where not. I´ve spoken to my engineer as well, defining details for the weekend. I´m absolutely focused on the challenge ahead. I´ll try my best because this opportunity is amazing and I don´t want to waste it, but I realize how difficult to win is going to be, as no less than six driver have options to win”, Regalia said, stressing “our work needs to be precise. Everyone wants to take the title, my team, my family, my whole country and of course me too. My motivation is the highest ever, and I´ve being supported by people from Argentina, Latin America and, in fact, all around the world.”.
Regalia will be on track today for the practice session. Then on Saturday´s morning he will take part in the qualifying session, with race one in the afternoon. Finally race twois scheduled on Sunday
