MSA British Endurance Championship

Round 6: Donington Park, 2 November

Ian Loggie and Chris Jones clinched the championship title by a single point in the two-hour night race finale at Donington Park.

Loggie and Jones, in the Team Parker Porsche 997, did only what was necessary in the tricky conditions to head the Class 2 runners.

Javier Morcillo had taken the lead at the start of the race, building a four-lap cushion over Paul Bailey before handing over to Manuel Cintrano with 45 minutes left. However, following their own driver change, Bailey’s tem-mate Andy Schulz hunted down Cintrano, who clashed with a back-marker on the penultimate lap.
