Isaac Tutumlu aiming for Iberian GT title in Barcelona

As the season comes the Spanish driver from Barcelona with the Barzani Racing Team has a chance to take the Iberian GT championship at the last event takeing place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next weekend, competing in front of his home crowd.

At the moment Tutumlu lies second in the Iberian series scoring 41 points, being 8th in the GT Open but only 18 points behind the leader. As in previous races he will partner the Autorlando Sport Porsche 997 GT3 R with Greece´s Dimitris Deverikos.

“Finally we approach the season finale for both International GT Open and Iberian championship. The races will be two special events for me because, in addition to title chances, I will be visited by my family and friends this weekend, so I am looking forward to competing”, Tutumlu commented.

Regarding the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, he said that “it´s the most well-known for me as I have raced there at least ten or twelve times at the wheel of very different cars. My teammate Dimitris has never raced at this track, but he will not have adaptation problems as I will tell him some tricks. Despite it is going to be an arduous task, we will try our best to clinch the Iberian title and finish the GT Open as well as possible, facing more than forty cars from all over Europe. The BoP has slightly improved for our Porsche this time, with a new flange but then we got twenty extra kilos. Anyway our car has a good chassis, and it is important at this track”.

Race one, consisting of 70 minutes, is due to start on Saturday at 16.00, and then race two is scheduled at noon on Sunday and its length will be 50 minutes.
