Last challenges for Villorba Corse at Barcelona International GT Open

Schiro to debut at the wheel of the Ferrari 458 in International GT Open finale

Over the weekend of November 10 the International GT Open reaches Barcelona for its season finale. Villorba Corse is ready for the last challenge and will get back on track to finish the championship in style.

The Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio has clinched the driver overall and Super GT titles with Andrea Montermini at Monza last month but the whole squad want to reach another great result with the arrive of a very young and talented driver: Niccolo Schiro.

In Spain the 19-years-old Italian from Milan (2012 European F.3 Open champion) will make his debut with the Villorba Ferrari 458 GT2 becoming the third driver to race alongside the new GT Open champion after Luca Filippi and Davide Rigon.

"Barcelona is the final round of a very tough and successful season - says Amadio, Team Principal - but we always found new reasons to do well. We will have Schirò with us for the first time and his debut represents an additional input to reach the best possible result together with Montermini. The whole team is motivated to give its best before the start of a long winter.”

In Barcelona the GT Open round will start on Friday, November 8 with two free practice sessions. Qualifying is scheduled on Saturday at 9:15 and 12:10. Race-1 (70 minutes) will take place at 15:55. On Sunday race-2 (50 minutes) will start at 11:55. Both races will be broadcasted live on www.gtopen.net (clicking on WEB TV).
