Motors TV Weekend Highlights 16,17 November

This weekend Motors TV heads for Asia to bring you extensive coverage from one of the most iconic venues on the racing map: Macau. With action on both two wheels and four there’s something for everyone taking place around the Guia street circuit.

Every young driver worth their salt dreams of taking victory at the Macau F3 Grand Prix, a feat previously achieved by racing legends Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna. This year's grid is perhaps the strongest to date, with 2012 victor Antonio Felix da Costa set to take on European F3 champion Raffaele Marciello in a clash that pits the Red Bull protégé against Ferrari's most exciting young talent.

British hopes are high too with Alex Lynn targeting an improvement on last year's podium finish, while fellow countrymen Will Buller, Tom Blomqvist and Jordan King could all be a factor.

We'll also be bringing you delayed-as-live coverage of the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, one of the most challenging and dangerous contests in two-wheeled motorsport. Briton Michael Rutter will be targeting a record-extending ninth victory in the event aboard his SMT Honda Fireblade, with opposition expected to come from Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness and BMW man Martin Jessopp.

Our coverage is completed by the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and Scirocco-R China Masters Challenge support races, making for a bumper day of Eastern action.

But there's more than just Macau to look forward to this weekend. Saturday night sees the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series conclude at Homestead Miami Speedway, where long-time title rivals Austin Dillon and Sam Hornish Jr. will finally decide the destination of this year's crown. With just eight points separating the combatants there will be no room for errors at the Florida venue.

Our season review shows continue this weekend with an in-depth look at the 2013 Grand-Am campaign on Saturday afternoon. Ganassi duo Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas headed into the season targeting a fourth successive title but faced their stiffest challenge to date thanks to the Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette of Max Angelelli and Jordan Taylor.

On Sunday we stay Stateside to look back at the 2013 U.S F2000 campaign. Representing the first rung on Mazda's Road To Indy development programme, the series counts the likes of Dan Wheldon and J.R Hildebrand among its past victors. This year Canada’s Scott Hargrove and American Neil Alberico duked it out for a chance to join them and begin their own ascent to the top.

And if that’s not enough our regular magazine shows will cover every topic a petrolhead could possibly wish for, with Bike World, Maxi Boat, Auto Mundial and The Racing Insiders providing a full rundown of all things automotive.
