THE British Speedway Promoters' Association would like to pass on sincere appreciation to Neil Middleditch for his time in charge of Team Great Britain.Neil has confirmed he will not be continuing in the role and the matter will be under review at the forthcoming AGM.BSPA Chairman Alex Harkess said: “On behalf of the BSPA I would like to pass on our thanks to Neil for his hard work in two different spells as Team GB manager.“Neil has always worked hard and has carried out the role with pride. We are sorry he has taken this decision but we wish him well.“We will be turning our attention to his successor at the AGM and will issue an update when an appointment can be confirmed.”

POOLE celebrated their Elite League title success with a civic reception ahead of their awards evening, where Darcy Ward collected the club’s major Rider of the Year honours.Ward, Chris Holder and Kyle Newman along with club officials attended a lunch reception hosted by the town’s Mayor Councillor Philip Eades, and were presented with a commemorative Poole Pottery plate from the Borough.Promoter Matt Ford said: “I have now quite a collection of these that have marked the club's success, but I think this one is my favourite. “Winning trophies is not just about the speedway club but I like to think that it helps promote the town of Poole, of which I am very proud.”
