23/24 NovemberA week on from our trip to Macau we head for the Caucasus to witness 30 GT cars tackle a street circuit on the Caspian Sea coastline. After all, variety is the spice of life.The Azerbaijani capital of Baku plays host to the season-closing FIA GT Series round and we’re bringing you live coverage. The street circuit event has attracted a bumper entry list, with McLaren star-in-waiting Stoffel Vandoorne, Porsche factory driver Nick Tandy and BMW hot-shoe Maxime Martin all joining the fun this weekend.On the championship front WRT-Audi pairing Laurens Vanthoor and Stephane Ortelli top the standings ahead of the deciding contest, but with team-mates Frank Stippler and Edward Sandstrom just five points in arrears the title tussle is far from over.And, with 20 cars entered in the Pro category and 30 in total, Baku should make for a stellar conclusion to the GT racing campaign.It’s not just Azerbaijan on our itinerary this weekend, with delayed-as-live coverage of V8 Supercars' penultimate event of 2013 at the Phillip Island circuit taking us to Australia. Craig Lowndes snatched the points lead from Triple-Eight stable-mate Jamie Whincup last time out at Surfers Paradise, making for an intriguing intra-team scrap for the title.Speaking of table-topping old-timers, we've also got Maserati Trophy highlights from the series' trip to Shanghai where veteran Renaud Kuppens was hoping to extend his advantage over challengers Mikkel Mac and Alan Simoni. On Saturday night we take a look back at the 2013 Pro Mazda series, where past champions include DTM star Joey Hand, IndyCar rookie of the year Tristan Vautier and GP3 race-winner Conor Daly. The latter enjoyed a landmark 2010 season by capturing seven wins on his way to the title, but that record would fall in 2013 as Matthew Brabham produced an utterly dominant campaign.
