BIRMINGHAM Speedway would like to offer a full and unreserved apology to Andy Povey of AP Media over the situation surrounding the suspension of our club's official website.

Having taken into account a full report on the matter we are happy to accept this was our own fault as the way our website was constructed caused other sites under the British Speedway Promoters' Association server to slow down or crash completely.

Birmingham Speedway issued what we now accept was an inaccurate press release and we apologise to Andy Povey personally for the unnecessary abuse directed towards him on social media - from officials of the club, their relatives and members of the public.

We hope this matter is now closed and would like to extend an invitation to Andy Povey to be our guest at Perry Barr, he will always be welcome.
