Team LNT Announce Driver Line-Up For Dubai 24 Hour

Team LNT's Mike Simpson and Lawrence Tomlinson will be joining forces with former Britcar rivals Javier Morcillo and Paul White in early 2014, as the foursome contest the Dubai 24 Hour in the Ginetta G55 GT3 car.Team LNT's Ginetta & Morcillo's Mosler have enjoyed some fantastic on-track battles over the past few years, with the two cars locking out the front row at the Britcar 24 Hour race in 2012, as well as the 1,000KM endurance gathering this year.Morcillo has been a big promoter of Ginetta cars in Spain, running Escuela Española de Pilotos' Ginetta G50 to numerous Spanish GT victories. The relationship with Ginetta Cars made Team LNT the obvious choice for Morcillo's campaign in the gruelling endurance race set to take place at the 5.39km Dubai Autodrome Grand Prix Circuit, on 9 - 11 January 2014.Javier Morcillo said; "I am over the moon to be able to join Team LNT for such a big race. After working with Ginetta in Spain for five years and successfully running the EV Motorsport Ginetta G50 for so long, it feels great to now race with the 'Big Brother' team."I have raced against the Ginetta G55 GT3 car a number of times in Britcar, and it will be fantastic to finally get to drive it. Having Lawrence, Mike and Paul as my teammates is a big responsibility, as they are all great champions, and I am happy they are going to be racing with me rather than against me! I am sure we will make a very good team and we will give our best to bring the best possible result to the Ginetta factory team."White has been involved in Motorsport for many years as a racing driver, team owner and young driver sponsor. White's driving career has seen him race many GT cars, including his own car in the 2012 Le Mans festival.White added; "Dubai is a big challenge, after having raced in Britcar, so many 24 Hr´s and some events in WEC, Dubai 24 looked like the right challenge for me. I am working on stepping on to bigger plans in my driving career, so racing with such a good car, team and teammates looked like a logical thing to do. It will be a big honour to represent England and Ginetta in such a big event"After an insightful 2013 with impressive results in the MSA British Endurance Championship and International GT Open the team are now confident of putting on an impressive show in what is undoubtedly one of the world's ultimate endurance tests.Ginetta Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson added "I am are delighted to welcome Javier and Paul to Team LNT for the Dubai 24 Hour. With the amount of combined endurance racing experience in the car, both myself and the team are hopeful of a prominent result with the G55 GT3 car."Ginetta factory driver Mike Simpson concluded; "Having lined up on the front row of the Britcar grid alongside Morcillo / White for two years running, I know just how good a driver pairing these two are, therefore having them as part of our team is a real bonus heading to Dubai. Personally, I have been working hard with the Ginetta personal trainer in a bid to acclimatise to racing in Dubai, and I hope together we can bring home a strong result and some silverware for the team."Team LNT will not be fielding the only Ginetta on the grid however, as Speedworks, Optimum Motorsport and Team Parker Racing will be competing in their Ginetta G50 GT4 Cars, with Optimum Motorsport aiming to reclaim the class honours, having won the GT4 battle in 2012.
