LEICESTER have completed the double signing of Swindon assets Jason Doyle and Mads Korneliussen.The top-flight newcomers have named the duo as the first two members of their top five, with Doyle – who has reached the Elite League Grand Final in each of the last three seasons – also continuing with Somerset in the Premier League. Korneliussen joins after three years with King’s Lynn.Lions promoter David Hemsley said: “To say I am delighted that Jason has agreed to ride for Leicester is an understatement. He is an inspirational leader and a highly respected person.“Mads brings vast experience to the club having ridden in all the major leagues in Europe. He is much in demand and his record over the season makes for impressive reading.”

EASTBOURNE boss Trevor Geer is backing new reserves Lewis Blackbird and Daniel Halsey to both be successful at Arlington.The duo were selected by the Eagles last week from the draft list of riders drawn up by Great Britain youth chiefs as part of the new fast-track scheme for the top flight in 2014.Geer said: “The draft meeting was a big success and it has turned out well for Eastbourne. We are delighted to welcome Lewis and Daniel to our team. They are very committed riders and I am sure they will do well.“I have talked to both riders and they are ‘over the moon’ to be coming to Eastbourne. We will see what facilities we can offer them at Arlington for practise prior to the start of the season.”
