Sennan Fielding targets F4 title glory with HHC Motorsport in 2014

Sennan Fielding has confirmed he will return to the BRDC F4 Championship with HHC Motorsport for a full season title challenge in 2014.

The 18 year old from Chesterfield competed in three rounds of the main 2013 F4 season before joining HHC for the recent Winter Championship where he was a consistent front runner, securing four podiums from eight races, including a breakthrough win on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on his way to third overall in the standings.

Prior to his F4 participation, he finished second in the 2012 Ginetta Junior Championship with five wins and 10 podium finishes to his name, having finished seventh overall with one win in 2011.

HHC Motorsport enjoyed a very successful season in F4 in 2013, securing three wins in the main season with Charlie Robertson, including back to back wins at the season finale at Donington Park, while also securing further podium finishes with Raoul Hyman and Gustavo Lima. The team continued that success with a further six podiums in the Winter Championship and wins apiece for Fielding and Will Palmer. Fielding will partner Hyman at the squad, with a third driver to be announced in due course.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to F4 in 2014 with HHC Motorsport,” Fielding commented. “It’s going to be another tough and competitive season with a very strong grid but I’m hoping to be running from at the front from the start and hopefully carrying over our form from the Winter Championship. I’m aiming for the title in 2014; I wouldn’t be on the grid if I didn’t think I could win it.”

HHC Motorsport Team Principal Charlie Kemp is looking forward to further success with Fielding in 2014. “I’m very confident that we will be challenging for the title next season. Sennan showed excellent maturity and consistency in the eight races with us in the Winter Championship and his first win at Brands Hatch was hopefully the first of many more to come.”
