KENT have completed the signing of Daniel Blake on a full contract to take the final place in their 2014 team. The Harlow-born rider returns after spending time out of the sport due to a badly broken leg suffered at Newport when he was racing for the Isle of Wight, from which he took two years to recover.Kent boss John Sampford said: “Dan was the management's choice from a group of four available riders with averages that filled the final place. His personal determination and rapidly improving form at practice sessions won him the last place available in the team.“The promoters are to assist him to attend as many winter practice sessions as possible at tracks all over the country so that he hits the ground running at the Easter Monday opening.”

CRADLEY have moved for 17-year-old Danny Phillips as they continue building their team to defend the National League title.Phillips has previously appeared for Scunthorpe and Mildenhall over the last two seasons and had impressive meetings in Fen Tigers colours in 2013.He said: “I'm hoping to add quite a bit to my starting average. I feel like I can improve quite a lot so I'll just work hard to try and score as many points as possible.“I haven't got much experience riding at Monmore Green but it looks a quite similar track to Belle Vue which I ride pretty well. It might take me a few meetings to get used to it but hopefully I'll get to grips with the track fairly quickly and score plenty of points at home.”
