They have signed young up-and-coming Irishman Andrew Irwin, Andrew who is 19, from Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland will compete in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class which runs alongside the MCE British Superbike series.Irwin was drafted in part way through the 2013 season riding for another Superstock 600 team and he gained his best result of 11th place at Donington Park and he is eager to gain a strong result this year and contend the entire series with the MWR Kawasaki team. The youngster has already achieved several National successes in Ireland, where he was crowned Ulster and Irish Super-twin Champion in 2012. He will be racing the Kawasaki ZX-6R in 2014 and cannot wait for the opening round at Brands Hatch over Easter Weekend.Andrew Irwin - "I'm very happy and excited to be joining the MWR Kawasaki team this year. I think it is the perfect team for me to take my career to the next level and I think together we can have great success. Our goals and plans are the same for the British Superstock season and this fills me with confidence. I would like to thank Mark Webster for giving me this opportunity as well as my personal sponsors MET Healthcare, John Seaweight Commercial Vehicle Sales, Aquarius Couriers and The Ben Gautrey Foundation for helping me fund my season."Team Owner Mark Webster - "It's great news for the team to have Andrew on board with us riding the Kawasaki ZX-6R for this year. As MWR Kawasaki are based over in Northern Ireland, to have a local rider and a quick one at that signed up was very important to us as bike sport over here receives plenty of support and media attention.I've been watching Andrew since he joined the series part way through 2013 and was very impressed with the way he learnt the tracks so quickly and was able to put in performances beyond what he should have in his first races in the UK.I'm absolutely certain he will challenge right at the front in the National Superstock 600 class, with plenty of testing planned we will make sure he is in the best possible shape to kick the season off in April at Brands Hatch."
