Ahead of this weekend's Daytona 24 Hours, the first race in the new United SportsCar series, two competing teams have announced new sponsors.
Extreme Speed Motorosports (ESM), which has entered two cars in the prototype category, has secured sponsorship from cloud-based communications firm MagicJack.
“Both ESM and MagicJack are young and developing organisations, so it is a great fit," said Scott Sharp, the team's owner and one of the drivers.
“The MagicJack device and app are great alternatives to the traditional phone line we think our fans will embrace. While streaming the Tudor Championship races on their computers, they can also call their friends to talk about the race and enjoy some impressive cost savings. We’re looking forward to a long partnership with MagicJack.
Dempsey Racing, meanwhile, has announced a deal with mattress producer Beautyrest. The multi-year agreement includes on-car branding for the company at all United SportsCar series events. The team, owned by actor Patrick Dempsey, previously announced it will compete in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, in the GT category.
