(SPEEDWAY 1)THE British Speedway Promoters' Association would like to make it clear that our broadcast partner, Sky Sports, via our commercial rights holder Go Speed International Ltd, provide the association with potential schedule dates for events and therefore are not to blame for the direct clash of the Elite Riders' Championship and the Gary Havelock Farewell on March 21.We would also add that the Association will be working with the Poole promotion and Gary early next week with the offer of a suitable date for this well deserved meeting.Clashes of this kind have rarely, if ever, occurred over the period of live coverage of our sport, a period which will reach a staggering 20 years with our new contract, and it is fortunate that there are a number of weeks to rectify the situation.The British Speedway Promoters' Association fully respect and understand the amount of hard work and planning involved in events of this nature.
