A low-cost Series for the very young and not, in complete synergy with Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS. A formative car. An International Calendar which foresees five double venues on prestigious tracks. Impressive prizes and much more. This is the Formula Renault 1.6 ALPS Junior, the new Series launched by Renault Sport that will kick off this year under the Fast Lane Promotion aegis.
The Formula Renault 1.6 ALPS Junior goal is living the chance to all drivers aged 16 or more to learn the basics for their future, offering the ideal context where to start climbing the motorsport ladder that only the French Manufacturer can grant through its Series Formula Renault 2.0, F.Renault 3.5 and its presence in both in Formula 3 and in Formula 1.
Formula Renault 1.6 ALPS Junior is a low-cost Series, that has its roots in the experience gained in the North European Championships (such as Formula Renault 1.6 North European Cup Junior e la Formula Renault 1.6 Nordic Championship), using the Signatech car, synonymous of reliability and of a very affordable price: 42,000 euros, with the opportunity to pay in four different payments.
Very important as said, is the synergy with the major Series, with two events (Motorland Aragon and Paul Ricard) that will be held in the World Series by Renault weekends, and will be sharing the track in the other three rounds with Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS (Red Bull Ring, Monza and Mugello), with a racing format that includes two free practice sessions, one qualify and two races.
A considerable Jackpot, worth 120,000 euros. The winner will have granted the entry fees for the whole Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS 2015 season, while second overall will win the ALPS Championship entry fee. There will also be a prize for the best team and several weekends’ prizes in tyres and fuel.
To the top two drivers of all the Europen Searies, an astonishing opportunity will also be granted. They will be part of a Renault Sport Selection to win a Formula Renault 2.0 car to join the 2 liters Series in 2015.
The Formula Renault 1.6 ALPS Junior philosophy is “a real low cost future”.
