Pirelli UK goes Dutch

Pirelli UK is gearing up to supply the Dutch Supercar Challenge this year, with all the tyres for the series coming from Pirelli’s logistics hub in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

The championship is for GT cars such as the Porsche 997 and Lamborghini Gallardo in the top class, but there are also lower classes that allow more modest vehicles including the Renault Clio.

Each meeting consists of two hour-long races, with some epic venues such as Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, the Nurburgring in Germany and Brands Hatch in the UK on the calendar. A number of British drivers are expected to take part in the series including GT regulars Martin Short and Aaron Scott.

The Dutch Supercar Challenge is exclusively equipped by Pirelli, showcasing the sheer range of cars that are able to rely on Pirelli tyres for ultimate performance. This exciting championship kicks off with a media day at Zandvoort, Netherlands, on April 4, allowing the teams to test their cars and tyres, while journalists meet the drivers.
