Zytek Engineering Remain Wholly Owned by Founder

Bill Gibson the founder and owner of Zytek Engineering Ltd - the UK based racing powertrain and motorsport business - recently concluded a deal to sell his 50% shareholding in Zytek Automotive Ltd to German company Continental AG.

Continental who had already acquired a 50% share of Zytek Automotive Ltd back in 2008 took over full ownership as of February 3rd 2014.

Zytek Engineering Ltd remains 100% in the ownership of Bill Gibson and continues to thrive in the precision engineering motorsport business and will be unchanged by this sale.

Bill Gibson said “Zytek Engineering is so busy with motorsport and precision engineering projects that I felt the need to concentrate my time and efforts on improving and expanding the facilities and business at Repton. Motorsport has always been a core activity of Zytek and I intend to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the motorsport world, in both current and new technologies.”

Zytek Engineering based in Repton Derbyshire is currently engaged in the design, production and support of LMP2 racing cars and engines, supplying teams in the WEC, TUSCC and ELMS championships. Zytek also provides the 530 bhp V8 engines to the entire Renault World Series, Auto GP and FA1 Championships and will shortly be announcing some exciting new projects.
