Motorsport legend and Formula One icon, Ross Brawn, will be guest of honour at an exclusive dinner hosted by the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) on Monday 14 July at the Oxfordshire home of Williams Formula One team, where Ross’s outstanding career in motorsport began.
During this very special evening, Chris Aylett, CEO of the MIA, will interview Ross on the secrets of his winning formula, his achievements and the many highlights of his successful life. Brawn will also be taking questions from the audience. The event will honour Brawn’s enduring contribution to British and global motorsport suppliers and the wider engineering industry.
Ross Brawn’s exceptional achievements span nearly four decades, during which he constantly pushed the boundaries of Formula One, winning 16 titles whilst leading teams including Benetton, Ferrari, Honda and Brawn GP.
Brawn’s extensive business portfolio resulted in him becoming the majority shareholder of Brawn GP in 2009. After winning the F1 World Championship in its first year, Brawn sold his team to Mercedes and paved the way to the current success of the Mercedes AMG Petronas team.
Brawn was awarded an OBE for services to motorsport in the 2010 New Year honours.
This is a rare opportunity to hear from one the true ‘greats’ of global motorsport, and to gain an insight into his unique approach to team management and the lessons learned from a lifetime in the sport.
Proceeds from the evening will support the Motorsport Foundation® and SKIDZ charities. Tickets are available from Helen Jones at helen.jones@the-mia.com or 02476 692600.
