AutoGP Monza, Pal Kiss quickest in FP1

Tamas Pal Kiss got an early lead at Monza, in the opening Auto GP practice session for the first out of two Italian rounds of 2014. The Hungarian logged a personal fastest lap of 1’37”059 to edge at a last-gasp Italians Andrea Roda (Virtuosi UK) and Michela Cerruti (Super Nova) who had taken the lead earlier. Super Nova’s Markus Pommer ended up in fourth to edge the two Japanese racers fielded by Euronova. Shinya Michimi was off to a great debut as he topped his team-mate and fellow countryman Yoshitaka Kuroda. Two-time 2014 pole-sitter Kevin Giovesi (Eurotech) was seventh in front of another rookie, Swissman Cristof Von Grunigen, Michele La Rosa and Giuseppe Cipriani. Pescara-Based Loris Spinelli, driving for Eurotech, finished in 11th and was followed by rookie female racer Samin Gomez, coming from Venezuela, and Francesco Dracone, fielded by Super Nova.The second session of free practice will be taking place at 13:15, followed by qualifying at 17:05. Race 1 will start on Saturday at 15:35, on a 17-lap distance. The 15-lap Race 2 will take place at 11:20 on Sunday, June 1st.A live timing service will be available for all the sessions, including qualifying, on www.autogp.net, while live TV streaming will also available for the races.
