Sunoco at the American Speedfest II‏, Brands Hatch

'Gentlemen, start your engines and get down to Brands Hatch' for the American Speedfest II

Don't be an 'armchair enthusiast' and make sure you drive down to the American Speedfest II event at Brands Hatch next weekend on Saturday 7th to Sunday 8th June. It is looking like it will be a fun-filled weekend, not only for the variety of cars that will be making an appearance such as NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, Radical's Bernie's V8's, Dragsters, Mustangs and big bangers, but also a chance to get alongside a great showcase of talent.

This is also an opportunity to see some of the racers, and previous winners, who are taking part in the 2015 Sunoco Challenges with track action from Radical during the weekend; the Radical SR1 cup qualifiers are warming up first thing on Saturday before the SR3 Challenge and Clubman's Cup challengers take to the track to help form a host of races from this Sportscar series. As Sunoco is the control fuel for the series, we will be on hand to tot up the points that the challengers accrue during their races, but who will take the lead in the standings table?

Bradley Smith 2014 Sunoco Challenge winner in Whelen Car #31

The 2015 Sunoco Whelen Challenge is being provided in partnership with AAOIL and Whelen Engineering in the USA and offers the winner a fully paid for race seat in the Marsh Racing run Whelen sponsored Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype during the Rolex 24 At Daytona race in January 2015. This partnership came about after our 2014 Sunoco Daytona Challenge winner, Bradley Smith, impressed the team with his performance whilst driving for them at the Rolex 24 At Daytona back in January. Bradley was awarded his seat as part of the challenge prize after a fantastic season winning the Radical SR3 Challenge Championship whilst driving for his family run team, MecTech Motorsport. This year Bradley has stepped up to drive the Radical SR8 and is competing in the Radical European Masters on circuits all over Europe but will also be making his debut appearance at Brands during the American Speedfest weekend where he will have chance to showcase his diverse range of talent as the only UK driver to take the wheel in the 2014 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

Whelen's UK representative, Woodway engineering, who is supporting his drive at Brands said; 'Whelen is proud to offer continued support to Bradley Smith after his great drive at the

TUDOR United SportsCar Championshipin the Marsh racing run Whelen sponsored Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype during the Rolex 24 At Daytona back in January. Bradley will be the only UK driver racing this weekend with the backing of the sole European Manufacturing agent for Whelen, Woodway Engineering Ltd. We wish Bradley the best of luck and truly believe we will be seeing a lot more of this talented new driver in NASCAR, both in Europe and the US.'
