Driving donations in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, HandH Classics Charity Golf Day

The H&H Classics team will be putting down its gavels and heading to the greens for a good cause later this summer, when the auction house holds its first-ever charity golf day. The event will take place on the challenging 6288-yard course at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club, Stratford-upon-Avon, on 3 September.

All profits will be donated to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, a leading UK cancer research charity dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all types of blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. At any one time, the charity has £65 million committed to life-saving research and 260 active research projects around the UK.

Every 15 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer in the UK — that’s over 30,000 people every year. Leukaemia is also the most common cancer in children. So every pound raised really helps.

A maximum of 24 teams are invited to enter the competition, with a special ‘Classic Dealer Trophy’ and awards for ‘Beat the Pro, ‘Nearest the Pin’ and ‘Longest Drive’ – all of which can be sponsored. It’s sure to be a close-fought competition, and all in aid of a supremely worthwhile charity.

There’s also the prize of a brand-new car for those skilful enough to hit a hole-in-one, although many competitors will be happy driving home in a cherished classic, pleased that they have been able to contribute something to the vital work of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Entry forms to the 3 September golf day, and other ways to donate directly to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, can be downloaded from the H&H Classics website, www.handh.co.uk.
