And Finally...!

News from the Castle Combe Motorcycle Team...

Grand National Motorcycle Race Report, 21st & 22nd June 2014The Castle Combe Circuit Grand National Motorcycle Race Meeting was a spectacular success with huge crowds, amazing weather and 40 races packed in over the weekend producing 19 new NG Club lap records and a good few close finishes! With 60 bikes in the classic parade, a packed paddock and crowds several people deep it really was a memorable meeting!A particularly special sight had to be the 21 time TT winner John Mcguinness on the Honda Six and ex GP rider Steve Parrish on the 500cc Honda Four. It was just fabulous to see “McPint” on arguably the most iconic race bike ever (alongside the Guzzi V8)! And, being the great ambassador for both Honda and motorcycle racing generally that John is, he didn’t stop signing autographs, taking selfies and chatting with fans all day so huge thanks to him plus to all that came and hopefully enjoyed the day as much as we did!So how are we going to top it next year? Well… we have a cunning plan! Keep a look out for announcements later in the year – if all comes together then you won’t want to miss it! In terms of dates; provisionally the weekend of the 20th and 21st June is looking favourable but we’ll let you know as soon as this is confirmed.

On another note…!As well as John Mcguinness, Steve Parrish, David Hailwood and Chas Mortimer being here for the Grand National race meeting, we can now proudly add another famous name to our list of recent circuit visitors – Guy Martin! Guy has previously tested here with both Honda and Suzuki but this last visit was connected to work he’s been doing for TV. We’re sworn to secrecy but suffice to say it’ll be an interesting watch and we’ll pass on dates as soon as we know them!

For the latest news from the Circuit please see our news page.

Final Notice...!There are major road works on the A350 between Junction 17 (M4) and Chippenham as the short section of road approaching Chippenham (by Morrisons) is made into a dual carriageway. Work has just started and is anticipated to run into 2015. Please bear in mind when travelling to the Circuit as there can be long tailbacks at peak times.Getting back to the M4 via the usual way is much less of an issue.

If you do need anything from the Circuit then as always... give us a buzz on 01249 782417, drop in and say "hello", pop us an email on sales@castlecombecircuit.co.uk or you could even Facebook or Tweet us...! So many ways of keeping in contact!!

We very much look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you in the not too distant future!
