Round 6: Speyside Stages, 2 August

Defending champion David Bogie clinched his sixth McDonald & Munro Speyside Stages victory on round five of the championship.

It was another close fight between Bogie and championship leader Euan Thorburn. Thorburn had a three-second advantage with as many stages remaining, but his chance of victory was scuppered when he suffered a puncture on the penultimate test.

Bogie and co-driver Kevin Rae went on to win by 13 seconds from Thorburn and his navigator Paul Beaton. Jock Armstrong and co-driver Paul Swinscoe secured the final podium spot, a minute and a half further back.
