IndyCar celebrates Racing for Kids silver anniversary

with "Beer, Cheese & Charity"

The Verizon IndyCar Series is proud to sponsor "INDYCAR Presents: Beer, Cheese & Charity," inside the IndyFest Street Party (indyfeststreetparty.com) on Friday, Aug. 15, in support of the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Racing For Kids, a charitable organization that brings Verizon IndyCar Series drivers to children's hospitals.

The VIP beer garden, which is open to the public, will offer guests a tasting of locally-distributed beer and cheese, as well as "Hinchtown Hammer Down," a Flat 12 Bierworks golden ale brewed in honor of Verizon IndyCar Series driver James Hinchcliffe.

The party will be located adjacent from the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, 509 W. Wisconsin Ave.

The event will include Verizon IndyCar Series drivers, as well as representatives from Racing For Kids and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Also on hand will be former Racing For Kids affiliated hospital patients who were visited by Verizon IndyCar Series drivers during their treatment.

In connection with the event, an online silent auction will offer a variety of packages, including a two-night stay at Grand Geneva Resort and Spa from Marcus Hotels and Resorts, 2014 and 2015 VIP experiences at the ABC Supply Wisconsin 250 at the Milwaukee Mile and signed racing memorabilia, including a helmet signed by the drivers in this year's Verizon IndyCar Series race, which takes place on Aug. 16-17 at The Milwaukee Mile.

Proceeds from the event and the auction will benefit Racing For Kids, which is celebrating its 25th year. Media are invited to attend.
