P3 - JOHNNY CECOTTO

Starting very well from the 5th position with rain tyres, Johnny was able to earn 2 positions right from the first curve putting himself in the leader group. The rain however was so violent that it made the driving conditions surely difficult and dangerous that the race directors initially decided to bring the Safety Car out and subsequently, to expose the red flag suspending the race for some minutes. At the start of the race, Johnny surpassed Vandoorne and began to guide the competition but, unexpectedly, the race director considered his overtake unfair and asks the Team to inform Cecotto to give back the position earned. Johnny gives up the position and continues the race in this way until 8 laps from the finish when he enters into the box for the tyre change. Once back on the track, the Venezuelan driver finds himself in P3 with an excellent pace that he is able to end the race with the chequered flag in this position. The final result at the end of the day is surely positive: both the driver and the Team reached the podium once again after the last two difficult weekends and the points collected are surely fundamental for the fight for the championship.

P20 - SERGIO CANAMASAS

Sergio, who started from the 24th position, was an author of a beautiful race who unfortunately did not end with the result that he deserved. The start of the race was surely difficult due to the climatic conditions that brought Sergio's car into safety mode causing some management problems for the first laps until the suspension of the race with the red flag. Once the race started once again everything was under control once again. Canamasas entered into the pit lane in order to carry out the pitstop from the very beginning and right away, his race pace was constantly improving.8 laps from the end of the race, the Catalano driver found himself in the 10th position with several cars in front of him who still had to carry out their tyre change but at this point, Sergio unfortunately was hit by another car from behind forcing him outside of the track and putting him in P20. Canamasas closes the race in this position but his potential was surely in the point zone.
