It was a mixed weekend for the Josh Daley Racing team at round eight of the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship at Cadwell Park. Racing in the Evo Championship he secured a fifth in race one and was unfortunate to crash out in the wet conditions in race two.
Josh had a few technical problems with his Kawasaki during the practice sessions on Saturday but it once again in each session he improved his time every time out on the circuit. After some advice from former British Superbike Champion Tommy Hill, Josh listened and had a strong qualifying session. He finished qualifying as sixth Evo rider and 20th place on the grid. He got a good start and stayed in a consistent fifth place in the Evo class throughout the race.
The weather changed for the worse on Bank Holiday Monday and Josh was eager for a strong result in conditions he enjoys. Sadly his race was cut short on the opening lap when the conditions got the better of him and he crashed out uninjured.
Josh Daley - "I was really looking forward to Cadwell as it's a circuit I enjoy riding, I am still learning several parts of the track but each session I felt more comfortable with everything. The first race went well and it was a huge boost for me having Tommy (Hill) coming to give me some advice, I really appreciated it. When I saw the rain set in on Monday I was pleased as the wet has always favoured me in the past. Maybe I got a little carried away on the first lap and didn't settle into a rhythm and crashed out. Every weekend is a new learning experience for me and each weekend I take away as much information as I can. Thank you again to all my personal sponsors for all their help and support.
