Public admittance is free of charge and fans will not only be treated to a hard driving live set from Toseland, but will also experience a unique insight into the FIA World Rally Championship as the WRC teams and drivers ready themselves for the final day of top class competitive action in the famous Welsh forests.Bike racing legend Toseland is no stranger to premier league motor sport having won two World Superbike Championships in 2004 and 2007 before being forced into premature retirement due to injury.Since then he has concentrated on his first love – music. His eponymously named five-piece band has been enjoying a growing reputation, both with its debut studio album of classic rock and power ballads ‘Renegade’, and for its dynamic live performances on stage. “I’m really looking forward to being part of Wales Rally GB,” said Toseland. “One of my most memorable moments was taking a passenger ride through a forest in a WRC rally car with Carlos Sainz. What an experience that was. It was the first time I’ve been absolutely in awe – the grip and acceleration they get on the dirt through the trees was a real eye-opener, so I’m hoping to see some of the action as well as perform a great show for the fans on Saturday night.” “We are thrilled that James is bringing his band to perform at Wales Rally GB, not least as he is himself a true racing legend,” confirmed Ben Taylor, Managing Director of Wales Rally GB. “Last year we had nearly 10,000 visitors to the Service Park on Saturday evening and we are expecting another huge turn-out in November. By offering free access and great entertainment from bands such as Toseland, we are investing in the future by encouraging a new generation of fans to experience what motor sport – and rallying in particular – has to offer.”Wales Rally GB’s initiative offering free public access also extends to no cost admittance to Thursday evening’s Ceremonial Start at Eirias Stadium in Colwyn Bay, Friday’s remote Service Park and Regroup in Newtown and Sunday afternoon’s Ceremonial Finish in Llandudno.Tickets for those wanting to experience the excitement of the world’s top rally drivers in action are available via the official website at www.walesrallygb.com or via the ticket hotline on 0844 847 2251.
