Peter Kildemand handed Nordic FIM Speedway Grand Prix wild card

Danish international Peter Kildemand has a chance to build on his Copenhagen heroics after being handed the wild card for the Nordic FIM Speedway Grand Prix at Vojens Speedway Center on September 13.

Kildemand dons the famous No.16 race jacket for the second time this season after a stunning full World Championship debut in the Danish SGP at PARKEN on June 28.

The 24-year-old stormed to the final with one of his trademark swashbuckling displays, before finishing fourth behind fellow countryman Niels-Kristian Iversen, Troy Batchelor and Greg Hancock.

Kildemand also impressed in the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup, helping Denmark pip hosts Poland to gold at Bydgoszcz last month.

The Swindon, Czestochowa, Vargarna and Fjelsted racer is enjoying the season of his life throughout Europe and is one of the favourites in the GP Challenge at Lonigo on September 20, where the top three earn World Championship places for 2015.

Another big result just a week before that event would give Kildemand the ultimate confidence boost for his Italian job.

He is joined in the Nordic SGP by FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship finalists Mikkel Bech Jensen, who dons the No.17 race jacket, and Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, who wears No.18.

The referee at Vojens will be Poland’s Marek Wojaczek.

Tickets for the Nordic FIM Speedway Grand Prix can be bought from www.speedwaygp.com or www.billetlugen.dk.
