Porsche Debut Completes Chadwick's Autumn Programme‏

Ollie Chadwick was back in testing action at Silverstone National Circuit on Friday, 7th November, with a notably strong performance during his maiden outing at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 – Josh Webster’s 2014 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship winning car.Invited to test the car as a guest of Porsche Motorsport, with a view to the 18-year-old potentially competing in the prestigious one-make sportscar category next year, Ollie handled the challenging wet conditions at the rain-soaked Northamptonshire track impeccably, leaving a very positive impression.Last week’s run marked the latest in a variety of autumn test outings for the talented Tetbury driver, having recently tried out both GT3 and GT4 specification Aston Martin cars at Donington Park, off the back of finishing Vice-Champion in this year’s Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge.“Conditions were not ideal and, by mid-afternoon, the main straight was covered in standing water, so quite treacherous”, reflected Ollie on Friday’s run, “However, elsewhere it was possible to find some grip and with familiarity the car felt quick, agile and predictable, with immense traction when called upon. I liked this car [Porsche] a lot.“Porsche’s experience in motorsport is legendary and this is evident in the whole package and professionalism. For me, racing is about enjoying what I’m doing, being able to challenge at the front and being comfortable within a realistic budget. Porsche Carrera Cup GB would certainly be a consideration for 2015.”With his current run of championship evaluations now completed Ollie’s focus returns to his off-track activities, notably his Business Studies HND at Bath and his aviation interests.
