After a long and very successful season across the country Buggy Experience Racing Team approaches its season finale in the Spanish GT Championship and the Michelin Endurance Series and one of its drivers, Javier Ibrán, could be crowned champion in Alcañiz. Ibrán will share the Ginetta G55 with Álvaro Fontes and Holland´s Mathijs Bakker in the 500 kilometers of Alcañiz.

The 2014 season will come to a close this weekend at Motorland Aragón for Buggy Experience Racing Team. And one of its drivers, Valencia-born Javier Ibrán, is going for the title. The 500 kilometers of Alcañiz, taking place at Motorland Aragón, is becoming a classic venue at the end of the season and a long-awaited season closer for drivers. On this occasion Motorland Aragón will confirm Spanish GT championship and Michelin Endurance Series champions and Ibrán, at the moment, sits second in GTL and D2 classes respectively, as he claimed a double win in Valencia two months ago. Ibrán will team up with another Spanish racer, Álvaro Fontes, and Mathijs Bakker, from Holland, they both experienced and quick driving the Ginetta G55 entered by Buggy Experience Racing.

“It is an end of season quite interesting as I will share the car with two good friends, Mathijs and Álvaro, who have been my regular teammates this season. I love this race and, if we are lucky, it is possible to win the Spanish GT Championship. We have real prospect of success and will try our best”, Ibrán comments, remarking that “I am sure it is going to be a challenging and exciting weekend and three drivers unleashing everything they have got during 500 kilometers”. On his side, Fontes underlines that “it is the season finale for the Spanish GT Championship and I´m looking forward to competing there, as I want to help Javier in the fight for the class title. Motorland is a long, technical racing track, and there are some very strong rivals out there but I think our Ginetta is pretty competitive at this circuit. And for a 4-hour race you need this kind of enduring vehicle”.

After free practice sessions, qualifying takes place on Saturday at 10.15. The race is due to start at 13.45 and lasting four hours, once night has fallen.
