The eighth and final round of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, will take place on Sunday 30th October at the Autodromo José Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo.For the final outing of the two Rebellion R-One Toyota LMP1-L cars this season, REBELLION Racing will be targeting another first place finish amongst the FIA WEC LMP1-L class and a fourth 1-2 in a row.The 2014 FIA WEC campaign has been fantastic for REBELLION Racing. Before the start of the final race of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship, the Swiss team has secured 7 pole positions this season and collected 7 class wins from the 7 races.The circuit of Interlagos is a rollercoaster ride of a track set in a natural amphitheatre. It is 4.309 km long and at 800m above sea level. Because of the up and down design of the track, the team is not expecting to be quite as close to the factory cars who can use the extra power of their hybrid systems to get out curves faster than the two wheel drive of the non hybrid privateer LMP1-L cars. The new surface at the track will present an additional challenge for the traction of the cars, especially if it rains.As they have done all the season, REBELLION Racing's goal will be to tune their R-One cars to the specifics of the track to take another step forward in the improvement of the performance of the R-Ones and to finish the 2014 World Endurance Championship with a touch of class.As usual, Nick Heidfeld, Nicolas Prost and Mathias Beche will drive the #12 Rebellion R-One Toyota, Andrea Belicchi, Fabio Leimer and Dominik Kraihamer will be at the wheel of #13 Rebellion R-One Toyota.
