AutoGP: Regalia aiming for further success at Silverstone

Second in the drivers' championship in the Auto GP series, the Argentine driver with FMS Racing eyes new podium finishes at the British track, a circuit he knows well

Facu Regalia heads to Silverstone  for the second round of the Auto GP Series and, after his positive start at Hungaroring, Regalia will try to continue his winning streak. In Hungary Regalia took his first triumph in the series by winning on Saturday in extremely difficult weather conditions and then, on Sunday, finishing 6th as his car fielded by FMS Racing experienced problems with a rear shock absorber.

Silverstone is not like stepping into the unknown for Regalia as he achieved important success there in the past. He finished third in the GP3 Series race held at the English track two years ago, when he was runner up to Daniil Kvyat in 2013.

Lying second overall on 32 points, Regalia will try his best to beat Antonio Pizzonia, who is on top nine points ahead.

On Friday, two free practice sessions will serve as appetizer for qualifying taking place at 16.05. Race one is scheduled on Saturday at 13.25 and the second race on Sunday at 13.30.

Facu Regalia: “I´m ready for this new challenge at Silverstone, which I love it. Just like at Hungaroring, I have plenty of experience at this track because I competed there during my GP3 and Formula BMW days. I keep good memories and my expectations are quite good. I feel quite confident, and we want to continue making progress and moving forward. My feeling with the car and my team is much better now and we already know those areas in which we have to improve. The weather forecast says it will be a dry weekend. Let´s see. I am looking forward to driving the car again. My goal is to finish ahead of Pizzonia, because I want to reduce the points´ gap to him. That´s my main target and obviously another important one is the joy of driving the Lola, of course”.
