Rosco names Team GB Speedway line up

ALUN Rossiter has named the four riders who will represent Team GB in Event 2 of the 2015 Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup.

Tai Woffinden, Chris Harris, Danny King and Robert Lambert are the chosen quartet who will represent Great Britain at King's Lynn on Monday June 8 when they go head-to-head against Australia, the USA and Latvia. Team boss Rossiter believes his chosen four can make it straight through to the final for a second successive year. "Winning our opening event has to be the main aim once again because these race-offs seem to get harder and harder each and every year and if all our boys perform at King's Lynn then there's no reason why we can't do that again this year"Tai's done very well so far this year and he'll captain the side. "He's riding great in all of his domestic leagues, he's top of the Grand Prix standings, he had an excellent win in Prague last time out and he's certainly on fire right now."Bomber (Chris Harris) has been doing well in the GP qualifiers and is our sole survivor now. Chris always gives it everything he's got, he's having a good season all-round and he seems a lot more settled this year. "Danny is riding good enough of late to deserve his inclusion. He's been there, done it, got the t-shirt at this level and his experience could be very important. We're looking for him to make that next little step up this year though and I'd be very happy for Danny if he managed to do that."Robert Lambert is included on merit; he's another rider who's having a very good season, he showed everybody he is competitive at the Best Pairs competition a few weeks ago and he certainly shows no fear that's for sure."I'm really looking forward to the World Cup again this year and hopefully it can be a positive one for Team GB."
