Round 2: Llandow, 23-24 May

O Plate winner Jonny Edgar won both finals at Llandow to take the championship lead.

The Cumbrian started the first final from pole and then made a breakaway. Dexter Patterson and Lorcan Hanafin broke away from

the chasing pack and began to close in on Edgar but ran out of laps.

Edgar and Hanafin pulled away from the rest in the second final, with Hanafin sticking resolutely to Edgar’s rear bumper until

the final lap. However Edgar’s defence proved rock solid and Hanafin fell just six thousandths of a second shy of his first

win. Harry Thompson held off Patterson for third.
