Mats Eriksson delivered a superb victory at Santa Pod, dispatching three of his four opponents with blistering 5.9-second

elapsed times.

Final-round opponent Tero Laukkanen was left stationary at the start, handing Eriksson the win. Laukkanen’s turbocharged Ford

Mustang, the fastest Pro Mod in Europe, hit 250.42mph in the opening round for the event’s top speed, while low qualifier

Michael Gullqvist’s 5.882sec pole-sitter was the quickest pass.

Kevin Slyfield maintained his points lead with a second-round finish. Eriksson and Slyfield were among seven drivers to achieve

personal-best performance figures during the race.
