For the third year, the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races will host a round of the Classic Sidecar ‘Camathias Cup’ with a full grid of immaculate  Sidecars lining-up on Castletown By-pass for the four lap race including last years winning crew, Wally Saunders with ‘new’ passenger Bob Dowty who will once again be in their 850 Special.

However, the local crew won’t have it all their own way with the quality of the entry present including previous winners Eddy Wright and Kieran Clark, who were second last year along with newcomers in 2014 Kerry Williams with Billy Weston in the chair who came home third.

Add to the mix, the likes of Dick Hawes, Rod Bellas and Stuart Applegate and everything is starting to boil.

This year we welcome three continental crews, Andi & Beate Rolloi from Switzerland; Kobus Bouman and Nicolai Klinker from The Netherlands and newcomers Patrick Geffray and Ronnie Aine from France.

There are three other newcomers competing at the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races this year, Andy Nourish & Alan Bedford; Steve Brooks & Jan Tyrell and Ashley Brooks & Ian Marriner, who will all no doubt enjoy their time lapping the 4.25-mile Billown Course and like many others return for many years.

The 2015 event commences on Friday Evening 29th May with the first Practice session and continues on Saturday Afternoon 30th May with the final practice, followed by the first two races of the event, the 350cc and 250cc Singles race over six laps and the opening Sidecar race over four laps.

Sunday 31st May sees a full afternoon of racing action from 1.00pm concluding at 8.00pm at the latest with the meeting concluding with the Prize Presentation and Concours d' Elegance in Castletown Square on Monday Afternoon between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
