Nathan, Pretty chuffed with V8 Ute Return

Securing a partnership with Burbank Homes for the remainder of the year, Nathan Pretty will make a come-back in the 2015 East Coast Bullbars Australian V8 Ute Racing Series when he steps back in to his Murphy Motorsport Holden for Round 3 at the SKY CITY Triple Crown, Hidden Valley, NT 19 – 21 June.

After missing Round 2 in Perth, Pretty is running 20th in the Series 183 points off ARMOR ALL Drivers Championship Leader Ryal Harris, but with over 1,000 points up for grabs for the remainder of the year Pretty is still in for a chance of a podium finish.

“I guess you never know what could happen but I’m not worrying about the championship so I have nothing to lose, so I’m just going for broke. I don’t have to worry about gathering points, we’ll just be concentrating on doing our best job to thank Burbank Homes and all of the other guys that have helped me get back on the grid again,” said Pretty.

Vault Plumbing, Dynamic Electrical, Slipstream Signs will also support Pretty in 2015.

Pretty is yet to claim a podium win in Darwin, with his best result a third in Race 3, 2012 but is looking to change that.

“It’s always good to get away from the cold weather down South (Melbourne), It’s never been a fantastic hunting ground for me so I’m looking forward to turning the tables on that stat,” explained Pretty.

After a long career as a V8 Supercar Endurance driver, Pretty stepped into V8 Ute Racing in 2010 as his alter-ego Randy Corners and began racing full-time in 2011, where he narrowly missed out on a podium finish. Pretty claimed second overall in the Series in 2013 and third in 2012.

Ryal Harris currently leads the ARMOR ALL Drivers Championship on 291points Auto One steerer Adam Marjoram has moved into second position on 263 points after securing his first V8 Ute Podium on his home-track in Perth, George Miedecke remains in third after two 256 Points.
