It was a superb third round of the 2015 International GT Open fo Villorba Corse at Silverstone. In Sunday's race-2, at the wheel of the Villorba Ferrari 458 GT3, Alessandro Balzan and Nicola Benucci came in third position after a stunning comeback allowing the team led by Raimondo Amadio to celebrate on podium again after Saturday's race-1 second place.

In race-2 Benucci had a very good start and has managed to remain not far from the other title contenders until the mandatory pit stop for driver change. Then Balzan got back on track and was quick enough to overtake several rival cars taking a very important third place. Despite both drivers were making their debut in such a demanding track, at Silverstone Italian pair gained second position in the championship standings, with, in total, four podiums (one win) out of six races.

Amadio, Team Principal, said: “Indeed it was a positive weekend. We are exactly where we expected to be at the beginning of the season. In race-2 we were very consistent again with Benucci constantly improving lap times and Balzan always being competitive and aggressive enough to go for third position. We bring home second place in the standings and two podiums out of two races after the most difficult racing weekend of our championship. We can not be more happy with that”.
