Sergio Canamasas is back in GP2 action with Lazarus

Following his brilliant weekend in the streets of Monte Carlo and after missing the round held at the Red Bull Ring, the Spaniard is back at the wheel of a Dallara GP2/11 entered by Team Lazarus. Canamasas already competed under the Team Lazarus banner in 2012. Sergio Canamasas rejoins the GP2 field at Silverstone, where a new round of the main F1 feeder series is held. Spaniard Canamasas has reached an agreement with Team Lazarus to drive one of its cars on British soil. Canamasas is not a stranger to Team Lazarus because he took part in five GP2 rounds three years ago, when the Barcelona- born driver was making his debut in the series.“It is good to be racing again, especially as I´m joining Team Lazarus, where I will meet well-known people, as they were already involved with Lazarus in the past. It is never an easy task to adapt to a change, with a different set-up and working under different conditions. But motorsport is like that”Canamasas underlines, pointing out that “I always try to look for the best available option, and Team Lazarus was the correct one. Let´s see what happens. I-m looking forward to driving the GP2 car at Silverstone, because it´s achallenging race track for any driver, with a nice second sector. I will try my best again”.Canamasas will drive the car of Team Lazarus for the very first time during free practice session taking place today at the noon. Later, at 15.55, qualifying will take place. Both races are scheduled on Saturday at 14.40 and on Sunday at 09.35, local times.
