Trident was able to secure more valuable points at Silverstone as Ferrari Driver Academy and Aci Team Italia racer Raffaele Marciello delivered a last-lap pass for the seventh position of Race 1. The Silverstone weekend started with a decent qualifying session for Lello, and he was able to take-off from the fourth row in today's Feature Race. After being quick at the start, Raffaele struggled throughout the opening laps and lost positions after the pit-stop. Then he was able to find the right pace and manage the tires well. His car's set-up worked great with the option tires and his pace was among the best of the pack. In the final few laps, the Italian was able to put together several phenomenal passes, ending the race in 7th and and scoring good points for the championship.

Rene was once again prevented from showing his expected potential at the British track. After a tough qualifying session that forced him to content with a spot on the last rows on the grid, Binder did have a good pace in the first part of the race using the option medium tire set. Just a few laps after the pit-stop, he started to suffer from tire wear that made him struggle towards the final stages. The Austrian didn't back down and did his best to complete his race, ending up in 17th.
