REIS MSA Asphalt Rally Championship

Round 3: ALMC STAGES RALLY, 5 July

Third place for Simon Mauger/Jonathan Hawkins in their Metro 4M4, was enough to give them maximum points and consolidate the driver’s lead in the series at the halfway stage.

Simon Chapman’s Proton Millington was fourth, while David Hardie/John McCulloch were next in their Impreza - a result which sees McCulloch move into the lead of the Co-drivers’ points table.

Defending MSA Asphalt Champion Damian Cole and co-driver Jack Morton retired on the opening stage after their Focus WRC hit a chicane and burst its radiator, while Steve Simpson/Patrick Walsh went out on the next when an oil pipe came off their Impreza WRC’s gearbox.
