Norris looks to push on in Italian F4 Championship

Lando Norris is aiming to push on after his solid start in the Italian F4 Championship.

The 15-year-old, driving for Mücke Motorsport between his MSA Formula commitments, finished on the podium in his debut in the competition.

But after a crash in the first race prevented him from an even more impressive outing, he is now determined to make amends this time round at Mugello.

The ADD Motorsports-supported Somerset racer said: “I really enjoyed my debut in May, but I felt I could have done even better.

“I crashed in the first race and I think I would have been up there in every race if I wasn’t hit from behind. There’s a long break in the MSA Formula Championship right now, so it’s a nice change to be working with the Mücke team and competing against different drivers. Hopefully we can keep the season’s momentum going this weekend and get a few more podiums.”

Lando finished P1 in the warm-up on his first time on track in the second round of the competition and qualified in second place. However he was hit from behind in the first race that left him unable to finish which saw him start at the back for the second race.  However, he got his reward for the weekend’s hard work to finish third in the final race.

He missed the last round at Imola, but now returns to the Championship for the fourth weekend of racing – hoping to make his mark once again.

Racing takes place on Sunday, 12 July.
